EMILY + JASON
Location: Iscoyd Park, Shropshire
Emily and Jason's super intimate wedding at Iscoyd Park in October 2022. The ceremony was at the local church and with its white washed walls made the perfect backdrop for a glorious autumnal arch. This was full of hydrangeas, Japanese anemones, malope, dahlias and textural foliage and berries aplenty. We moved the arch and repurposed it at the entrance to the marquee, as you can see in the photos below. This is always a great way to save on budget and waste, although tricky to execute we have it nailed having moved so many back to venues this year!
The colour scheme was autumn neutrals with foliage "on the turn" - my favourite thing to forage for! We spent a long time treading through the our woodlands searching for the perfect pink toned elder branches to include. We packed in the last of the cosmos and lots and lots of dahlias for those dramatic larger blooms. The same theme continued onto the staircase with an installation stretching up and winding through the spindles.
In the drawing room we designed a display it for the mantle piece, including an urn at floor height. Emily and her maid of honours bouquets were a celebration of the best of October. Zinnias, butterfly ranunculus, phlox and koko loko roses were used with some precious white thalictrum. Thalictrum is one of the plants we have taken time to nurture and grow ourselves as I love using it but find it very hard to source from other growers.
